Lindsey & Ryan's Little River Flower Farm Wedding in Buxton, Maine
The journey that led Lindsey & Ryan to Saturday, August 12th, may have been long, twisty, and sometimes uncertain. Yet I dare say that the trip was meant to be and well worth it for both of them. From when they first contacted me back in January, there was something about their story that resonated with me. Add in vision for a wedding ceremony held beneath the tall trees at the adorable Little River Flower Farm and I just knew that I had to capture their long awaited union.
Like most couples, they anxiously checked the forecast leading up to the big day. Rainy. Cloudy. Thunderstorms. Mother Nature just could not make up her mind. What we were blessed with was a cloudy sky perfect for photos (no sweat or squinty eyes!) and the rain held off until a light spritz while I was driving home late that night. Hooray!
After preparing with her ladies at her parent's home in Windham, Atlantic Limousine wisked them off to Buxton for their festivities (and for Lindsey to see her almost husband). Seeing the Little River Flower Farm just about took my breath away. Their ceremony location is at the far reaches of the field beneath the towering trees with the Farm's namesake Little River flowing along the side. Beautiful just does not cut it for how stunning it was. With the ceremony under way, the river wasn't the only thing with the water works as Lindsey's dad performed a song he wrote for her. Yes, I most certainly was crying. Then her sister brought a little piece of her new home in Hawaii to Buxton as she sang a wedding song she learned there. Shortly thereafter, Lindsey & Ryan were declared husband and wife at long last and, just as their son's sign during his walk down the aisle proclaimed, Lindsey got a new last name.
Then it was time to start the party to celebrate their union. With El Corazón Food Truck supplying the sustenance and Nothing Bakes Like A Parrott supplying the sugar, Lindsey & Ryan's friends and family warmed up the dance floor. Yet other guests jammed out with the uber talented Joe Farren Music to really kick things off. The ladies of Your Wedding Concierge ensured the evening went smoothly all the way through until their sparkler exit to head to their honeymoon. It truly was an amazing way to start this long awaited chapter of their life together.
